Randy Beckmann
Owner and Director
Hello, my name is Randall E. "Randy" Beckmann. I was born November 28, 1959 in Fredericksburg, Texas to Roy and Janet Beckmann and I grew up in Fredericksburg. I am a 1978 graduate of Fredericksburg High School, a 1982 graduate of Texas Tech University and a graduate of the Mortuary Science program at San Antonio College. In 1876, my great-grandfather began our family's involvement in funeral service and I am proud to be part of the fourth generation of my family continuing this tradition of service. I have worked at Beckmann's Funeral Home in Fredericksburg, at Porter Loring Mortuary in San Antonio, at San Antonio College (where I taught Mortuary Science courses) and I have been the owner and operator of Mason Funeral Home since January 1, 2000. It is my belief that a person should be involved in the community in which they live. I have served as President of the Mason Lions Club, as a board member of CASA, served on the Campus and District Education Improvement committees at school along with serving as a director of the band boosters. At church I have served on Church Council, the Worship, Education, Building and Stewardship committees and also as a Sunday School teacher. I am also a member of the Hill Country Funeral Director’s Association, the Texas Funeral Director’s Association and the Fort Mason Golf Association. In 2004, I was honored to be selected as the “Businessman of the Year” by the Mason County Chamber of Commerce. I bring four generations of caring and commitment to funeral service and you can depend on me to be there to provide professional and experienced care with attention to the smallest details.

Katherine Steapp
Office Manager
Hello, my name is Katherine J. Steapp and I was born in West Palm Beach, Florida to Dudley Ray and Betty Jane Steapp. Coming from a military family and living in several locations, the better part of my childhood was spent in San Antonio, Tx. I graduated from Western High School in Louisville, Ky. Prior to moving to Ky, and while still attending high school in San Antonio, I also attended San Antonio College with computer programming and coding my focus. After raising my family, I went to work for Mobil Exploration and Research in Addison, Tx. as a Geoscience Technician. Upon their merger with Exxon, I left the company and went to work for Eli Lilly and Company Pharmaceuticals as the Human Resources administrative assistant. When the company then closed their outside satellite offices, I became the owner of an embroidery and patch design company specializing in Naval apparel. Upon retiring in 2015 I moved to Mason to be with family. I joined the Mason Funeral Home team in July 2019 as Office Manager. I am committed to being a compassionate and caring member of Mason Funeral Home. Assisting in a meaningful and respectful service with emphasis on the smallest details is what I hope to provide to the community of Mason.
