Willie Aldwin "Bill" Chapman, of Mason passed away on Tuesday, July 25, at the age of 70. He was born on April 12, 1947 in Menard to Blanton V. Chapman and Oleta Low Chapman. He was raised in Menard on the Blackie Williamson Ranch. On August 28, 1965 he married Brenda J. Durst in Mexico. They first lived in Menard where they worked in the grocery business and for several years they lived in numerous different places before settling in Mason for 34 years. He worked at Central Texas Electric Co-op for 30 years. Also was a member of First Baptist Church San Saba and Mason.

Bill is survived by a son Matt Chapman and wife Jill of Corpus Christi, a daughter Tracie Morris and husband Mike of Mason, a brother Gary Chapman and wife Brenda of Mountain Home. He is also survived by five grandchildren Mariah Chapman, Hunter Chapman, Chris Anderson and wife Kenzie, Ty Morris and Brianna Morris along with two great grandchildren Jaxon and Raylynn Anderson. Bill was preceded in death by his wife Brenda Chapman and parents Blanton and Oleta Chapman and also a sister Patricia Zella.

Funeral services will be held graveside at Gooch Cemetery in Mason on Friday, July 28, at 10 a.m. Visitation with the family will be Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.at Mason Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mason County Cancer Benefit.
