William James "Will" Dodson, 24, was born November 18, 1987 in Cottonwood, Arizona to Nancy Jane Deans and Billy Jack Dodson. Will showed his fighting spirit early, being premature and spending two weeks in neonatal ICU in Maricopa Medical Center, Phoenix, Arizona.

Will graduated from Mason High School in 2006 where he was a letterman in football and track. He spent a lot of his high school years playing pranks on faculty, friends and townspeople. He then attended the University of North Texas majoring in psychology.

Will was a loyal friend and brother. He had a mischievous personality and a quick wit, winning over most everyone who befriended him. He was very intelligent and athletic. Will was very dedicated to his likes and interests. He had an extraordinary love for music, teaching himself to play the guitar and even started writing his own music. He had an interest in politics and was a free spirit and his opinions were never swayed. Will was a very hard and dedicated worker. He was very loved and liked by all and will forever be greatly missed.

He is survived by his mother, Nancy Jane Deans of Brady and his three brothers: Aaron Loomis and wife Nicole of Abilene, Chris Loomis and wife Tiffany of Florence, Arizona, CJ Dodson of San Angelo, nephews Hayden and Hunter Loomis and niece Hailey, of Abilene, a maternal grandmother Betty Deans of Voca and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Marion F "Peanut" Deans and by his father Billy Jack Dodson.

The family will receive friends at the Mason Church of Christ building on Monday, January 9, from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Mason Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 10, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Voca Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Aaron Loomis, Chris Loomis, C.J. Dodson, Samuel Alfaro, Colt Fleming, and Eric Babbin. Honorary pallbearers will be Robbie Ramirez, Cameron Keith, Tanner Brown, David Bjork, Johnathon Ortiz, and Patrick Schuessler.
