Wilbert "Buddy" Lintzen, of Mason, Texas passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 12, 2023, with his wife and daughter at his side.

Buddy was born on October 28, 1933, to Frank Lintzen and Inez Savoy Lintzen in Eunice, Louisiana. He was of both German and Acadian French heritage. His childhood was rich in the Cajun culture. He spoke French with his grandmothers, which gave him a bit of an accent, throughout his life. His favorite conversation of late, was of his boyhood adventures with friends he grew up with.

Buddy's High School friend, Anita Malcolm Launey, became the love of his life and they were married on October 7, 1955.

Buddy joined the United States Air Force in 1953, where he served as an Aircraft Mechanic at Eglin AFB, Florida and overseas at Lajes Field AFB on the Terceira Island, of the Azores, Portugal. He was joined by his wife, Anita, where they lived for 2 years, enjoying the Portuguese culture and the absolute beauty of the island. Buddy was very proud of his service in US Air Force, serving from July 1953 thru November 1957. He was discharged with the rank of Staff Sergeant.

After discharge, they moved to Lafayette, LA, where he attended the University of Southwest Louisiana. He graduated with a degree in Business Management. Later, he continued his education at The University of Texas Permian Basin, in the MBA Program.

His career began with the Western Company of North America in 1962, spanning 30 years. Starting as a trainee and ending as Regional Manager of West Texas and New Mexico Operations. The family moved to as many as 7 cities in Texas, finally settling in Midland, Texas for 40 years. Anita was involved with her own career in Midland for 28 years as President and CEO of Midland Community Federal Credit Union.

Buddy and Anita's final destination was Mason, Texas, to be closer to their daughter and family. It was to be their forever home!

Buddy was a loving Father and faithful and devoted husband for 67 years. They have 3 children, Jennifer Lintzen Krobot (Michael), Mitchell Lintzen (Jill Farmar) and Stephen Lintzen (Jennifer Burleson).

He has 7 grandchildren, Stephanie Krobot Huse (Shawn), Elizabeth Krobot Morquecho (Andrew), Christian Lintzen (Melanie), Zachary Lintzen (Makenzie), Kyle Lintzen, Hannah and Heidi Lintzen.  Also, he has 8 Great grandchildren! Ethan, Arielle, Arianna, Jeremiah Huse, Zayna, Silvano, Guilherme Morquecho, and Jaxon Lintzen.

After the Graveside services, a Celebration of Life was held at The Lintzen home.
