Wanda Faye Jordan, of Art, passed away on Friday, December 25, at the age of 86. Mrs. Jordan is survived by her husband Nathaniel Jordan, of Art, a son Darrell Jordan of San Antonio, a daughter Deborah Baxter and husband Don of Mason. Grandchildren Derek Baxter and girlfriend Allison Paris of Austin, Matt Jordan and wife Lauren of Midland, Chad Jordan and wife Alexa of Midland, and Denay Skaggs and husband Wade of San Angelo. She is survived by great-grandchildren Case Skaggs, Harlow Jordan, Conner Jordan and Vera Jordan. She is survived by her sisters-in-law Jan Carpenter and spouse Owen, Gloria Beilfeldt and Vida Joseph and spouse Kenneth, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Lillie Henrich.
Wanda was an only child born to Ernest and Lillie Henrich on November 29, 1934, in Mason County. She attended school in Mason. She worked at Mason Drug Store. She married the love of her life Nathaniel on March 11, 1960. They lived in the Art community most of their married life. Upon marriage, she became a member of the Art Methodist Church. She was an active member for 54 years. She was a stay-at-home mom until her kids went to school. She was employed at Leifeste's for many years and at Mason Auction.
She was a member of the Methodist Women's Society and Garden Club. She loved helping feeding cows and driving in the pasture. She loved her family and was a role model and helper to all.
The family would like to thank the Knopp Nursing Home of Fredericksburg for their love and care. Also, Celeste Hospice of Kerrville for their love and devotion to her. She loved the nurses like her own family.
Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 30 at the Art United Methodist Church with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be in the Art West Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Wade Skaggs, Derek Baxter, Matt Jordan, Chad Jordan, Steve Toone and Dean Gipson.
Face coverings are required and social distancing is encouraged.
