Wade
Apr 27, 1924 — Jul 31, 2019
Wallace H. Wade, age 95, passed from this place, as he slept in his home, July 31st, 2019. He departed from Hermann Street and arrived at Heaven's gate to be greeted by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and his beloved wife of 64 years on earth and 70 years total; Myrtle preceded Wallace in death 6 years ago.
Wallace was born April 27, 1924 on a farm near the town of McCool, Mississippi to Lela and Joe Wade. He loved animals his entire life; as a child he was always buddied up with a Rat Terrier, and he continued that pet pattern as an adult even unto his departure, leaving the RatTerrier, Cricket, to his family.
He is a WW II Navy veteran, having been drafted in 1942 and upon return to the United States he became employed by Texas New Mexico Pipeline for forty-one years, living in Jal, New Mexico, McCamey, Sonora, Junction, Mason, and Crane, Texas with the pipeline. Upon retirement the couple returned to Myrtle's home town of Mason, where he continued to ranch on Comanche Creek right up to his last day.
Wallace was a quiet man with a giant loving heart. He was often known for his humor once you navigated past his shy-side. He was an honest and fair man. His word was his bond. He cared sincerely for all the folks in his life, knowing the Feed Store, Nachos, Willow Creek, his attorney and CPA, the folks at the bank, the Dip Stick guys, and certainly the Chevrolet crew like they were family. He loved you all.
He met and married Mason's Myrtle F. Willmann as she was a teacher in McCamey and their insurance agent doubled as Cupid. They married in June 5, 1949. Wallace and Myrtle were blessed by four wonderful children, Jeanie, Jerry, Janice, and Gary. Jeanie married Jim Newman and together they raised 3 lovely girls, Christy, Elisha, andAmanda. Jerry married Terre Polsgrove and together they raised a sweet son, Ben. Janice married Ed Hart and together they raised, delightful kids: daughter Megan and a son, Dayton. Finally, the sweet baby, Gary married Debbie Stephens and together they raised, a marvelous son and daughter, Steven and Dhara. These great blessings continued with the addition of many great-grandchildren for Wallace and Myrtle Wade.
