Obituary

Victor Castillo, of Mason, passed away on Monday, September 10, at the age of 78. Victor was born in Allende, Mexico on March 7, 1940 to Jose Castillo and Agustina Govea Castillo. He came to the United States. He lived in Denton and Sanger before moving to Mason. He married Eva Jacobs in Denton on August 17, 1984. Victor worked in road construction and also as a ranch hand.

Victor is survived by his wife Eva Castillo of Mason, five sisters Rosa Hernandez of Edinburg, Amelia Duran of Comanche, Pime Ramirez of San Jose, California, Estela Cruz of Acuna, Mexico and Oralia Martinez of Del Rio, two brothers Juan Castillo of Grandfield, Oklahoma, Pedro Castillo of Midland and 51 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Ignacio Castillo and Guadalupe Raymundo Castillo.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 on Thursday with a Rosary at 7:30 Thursday evening. The Funeral Mass will be Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Crosby Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Pedro Castillo Jr., Juan Duran Jr., Pedro Duran, Victor Manuel Castillo and Jimmy Castillo.
