Thora Louise Morrow was called to Heaven on October 21, 2023.  Thora was born April 9, 1923, making her 100 years of age earlier this year.  She was the daughter of Leslie Jacob and Mary Velma Roach of Miles, Texas.

She is survived by her daughter, Marsha Kay Gainer of Pontotoc, Texas; Granddaughter Julie Palacio (Louis) of Little Elm, Texas, Granddaughter Tiffany Smart (Jamie) of Lometa, Texas, and Grandson Daniel Gainer Sr (Belinda) of Fredonia, Texas; five great grandchildren, Whitney (Kolby) Yonker, Daniel Gainer Jr (Ciera), DJ Smart, Donnie Smart and Katie Palacio and one great-great grandchild, Riggin Yonker.

Thora was born in Miles, Texas, where her family grew cotton and farmed.  She graduated from Miles High School and attended Howard Payne College where she earned her bachelor's degree.  Shortly after the war, she married Howard Morrow of San Angelo, Texas.

Thora was a retired schoolteacher from the Hurst Euless Bedford School District near Ft Worth.  She moved back to the Texas Hill Country in 2017 to be close to her daughter and family. Thora enjoyed crafting, making floral arrangements and spending time with her family.

Visitation with the family will be held on Thursday, October 26 from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. at Mason Funeral Home and will be followed by the funeral service. The burial will take place at 2:00 p.m at Miles Cemetery in Miles, Tx.
