On October 10, 2025, Teddy Ray "Pop" Doyal had the greatest day of his life.  He gained his wings and entered into Heaven's gates.

Teddy Ray was born June 7, 1943, in Fredericksburg, Texas to Roy Milton "Ted" Doyal and Mary Lois Lumpkins.   Teddy Ray spent most of his younger years in Mason, Texas. After graduating from Mason High School, he spent 4 years in the United States Air Force and served from Okinawa, Japan to Dover, Delaware. He retired in 2004 from Central Texas Electric Coop. Teddy was a life member of the VFW, and also a member of the Masonic Lodge.

During his time of service, he returned home to find the love of his life for 60 years, Linda Carol Gierisch.  They married in Mason, Texas September 18, 1965. Together they started their family with 3 daughters, which was the most important thing in the world to him.  Teddy loved his family with his whole heart.  He loved to hunt, fish and just be outdoors, which he has passed on to the future generations.  Teddy loved nothing more than being on the bank of the Llano River with his family and friends. To many he was known as "Dad", "Pop", "Uncle Butch" or to some even "Buzzard", because if you ever walked through his doors, you became family.

Teddy was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Milton "Ted" Doyal and Mary Lois Doyal, his twin sisters Marlene Lynette "Tuffy" Duzan and Darlene Janette "Pos" Brandenberger, his son in love Alan Paul Yonker. Teddy is survived by his wife Linda Carol Doyal, of Mason, three daughters Kimberly Hengst, Kay Yonker and Karol Evans, His son in love Gary Evans all of Mason.  Teddy is also survived by his greatest joys 7 grandchildren, Ashley Morrow (Blake), Justin Yonker (Ally), Kolby Yonker (Whitney), Amber Hengst (Will), Jodie Evans (Bailey), Alana Evans (Dale) and Jenna Hill (Tyler) and even more precious to him, his 10 ½ great grandbabies, Rose, Nevaeh, Brylee, Adley, Teagan, Ty, Reid, Riley, Hux, Riggin and baby Yonker.

Even though he will be greatly missed, his legacy and love of family will live on.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Mason VFW posts 8554 or the American Alzheimer's Association.

Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, October 14, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Mason Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be Wednesday, October 15, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church.  Interment with military honors and Masonic services will follow at the Gooch Cemetery,
