Tantha Robbins, of Mason, passed away on Friday, December 26, at the age of 66. Visitation with the family will be Monday, December 29, from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon at Mason Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Monday at 1:00 p.m. at River of Life Church in Mason.
Tantha is survived by her brother Robbie Robbins and wife Rene of Mason, 2 nieces Rheannon Wartenbach and husband James of Mason and Jennifer Harden and husband Tim of Llano, 8 great-nieces and nephews and 1 great-great-nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents.
On October 7, 1948 Tantha was born in Wichita, Kansas to Byron Robbins and Tahama Keith Robbins. The family moved a couple of times before settling in Midland. Tantha graduated from high school in Midland and worked there and in Mason for several years. Tantha earned her Paramedic Certification and was in charge of the Mason County EMS. While working with EMS, Tantha went back to school and earned her degree as a Registered Nurse. She worked in the emergency room in Fredericksburg and Llano and also worked at the BAMC trauma unit in San Antonio.
Tantha was a member of River of Life Church. In her spare time she loved to cook, garden, read and do photography. She had a loving heart, was close to her family and was very attached to her dogs and cats.
