Steven Ellison, of Mason, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, at the age of 50. Visitation with the family will be Friday, October 14, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Mason Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held graveside at the Wagram Cemetery at Fredonia at 4:00 p.m. Friday afternoon. Survivors include his wife Donya Ellison, of Mason, a daughter Shelby Ellison of Little Valley, NY, his mother Mignon Chaney and husband John, of Mason, 4 brothers Barry Ellison and wife Rhonda of Little Valley, NY, Greg Ellison and wife Shelia of Fredonia, Brent Ellison and wife Debbie of San Antonio and Blair Chaney and wife Joella of Oro Valley, AZ. Steven was preceded in death by his father Willis Don Ellison.

Steven was born on September 17, 1966 in Brady to Willis Don Ellison and Mignon Barrett Ellison. He was a 1987 graduate of Brady High School and spent most of his life in the Brady and Mason area. He worked at the sand mine and also with his step-father in golf course maintenance. He married Donya Largent on March 25, 1996. Steven liked to play golf and fish and loved baseball. He enjoyed listening to music and having a good time with his friends. Steven was very kind hearted and willing to help anyone.
