Shirley Mae Ryder Keith passed away peacefully at age 81 surrounded by her family in Springdale, Arkansas on April 25th, 2025. Shirley was born August 20, 1943, in Gary, West Virginia, to Robert H. and Thelma Mae Ryder. The family later moved to Hobbs, New Mexico, where she attended school and met the love of her life, Lloyd Keith. They married October 17, 1960 in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, where Lloyd completed basic training for the US Army. Together, they had three children.
Shirley loved crocheting, reading, and gambling, but most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to teach them how to cook, play hide and seek, go on long walks, watch movies, road trips, and go shopping.

She worked various jobs throughout her life ranging from beautician to bookkeeper. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Lloyd Keith, a grandson, Kolt Keith, a sister, Wanda Parker Mayhan, and a brother Joe Ryder.

Shirley is survived by her siblings, Bob Ryder, Richard Ryder, Aggie Johnson, Lucy Orona and Phyllis Henderson. She is also survived by three children; Rusty Keith (Barbara) of Mason, Debbie Griffin (Red) of Junction, and Theresa York (Ritchie) of Springdale Arkansas, ten grandchildren; Dustin Keith (Alyssa), Brandon Keith (Samantha), Hunter Keith (Paige), Kari Adams, Tanner Adams, Baylee Eastwood (Nathan), Addie Jo Griffin, Jessalyn Starts (Erwin), and Megan York (Garrett); and
thirteen great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Monday April 28th, at 10:30 am, at Cavness Cemetery (5357 Old Junction Road, Mason, Texas 76856).
