Santiago Gomez, of Mason, passed away on Thursday, October 29, at the age of 78. Mr. Gomez is survived by his wife, Elsa Gomez, of Mason, 3 children: Claudia Hernandez and husband David, of Lockhart, Raudel Gomez and wife Hope of Mason and Homer Gomez and wife Joann of Mason, 4 brothers, Hector Gomez of Oklahoma, Sergio Gomez of Jimenez, Coa. MX, “Chale” Gomez of Jimenez, Coa. MX, and Javier Gomez of Kileen, TX, 4 sisters, Blanca Gomez of Jimenez, Coa. MX, Martha Tobias of Houston, TX, Norma Gomez of Jimenez, Coa. MX and Socorro Gomez of Acuna MX, along with 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Santiago was preceded in death by a brother Jesus Gomez and a sister Leacha Calzoncit.

A private celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
