Sandra Murphy Lenz, 79, passed away peacefully at home on May 23, 2026. She was born in Fort Lewis, WA on August 19, 1946, and lived a life filled with love for her family, friends and animals. One of her greatest pleasures was crafting thoughtful cards for birthdays, holidays, and special moments for those she loved.

Sandra was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gene Lenz, and her parents, Robert and Kassie Murphy.

She is survived by her son, Robert Lenz and wife Pam Lenz; her daughter, Lauren Lenz; and her cherished grandchildren, Shelby Blattner and her husband, Travis Blattner; and her best friend and much younger sister Patty Murphy. She also leaves behind many friends and family who loved her dearly and will miss her greatly.

Sandra may no longer walk beside us, but her legacy, her faith, and her light will never fade. She was deeply loved here on Earth and will be forever missed.

A celebration of Sandra's life will be held at a later date. The family appreciates the thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Operation Orphans of Mason County TX, any literacy-related charity, or a charity of your choosing in her memory.
