Sam Miciotto, of Mason, passed away on Saturday, December 20, at the age of 76. Sam is survived by Bob Peavy, Odell Brinkley and many other friends. No local services are planned. Burial of his cremated remains will take place at a later date in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Sam was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on February 3, 1938 to John Miciotto and Ruby Sali Miciotto. His parents were immigrants from Italy and Albania. Sam was raised in Shreveport, graduated from high school and attended seminary for a couple of years. He also served in the U.S. Air Force. Sam lived in Houston for many years before moving to Mason in 1980. For many years, he operated Sam's Antiques on the square in Mason. He was a quiet man, but he had a kind heart. His last act was to leave Christmas presents for the grandchildren of friends of his. Sam was preceded in death by his parents.
