Rosa Martinez, of Mason, passed away on Friday, May 4, at the age of 86. Ms. Martinez is survived by her cousins Gene Rodriguez of Brady, Nita Goodman of London and Flora Burleson of Mason.

Rosa was born in Corpus Christi to Salome Martinez and Antonia Salinas Martinez. She moved to Mason at a young age and attended school in Mason. She worked for many years as a housekeeper and when her parents grew old she provided wonderful care for them. Rosa was an independent woman who spoke her mind but always carried herself with dignity. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Visitation with the family will be Friday evening from 6 to 7 p.m. at Mason Funeral Home with a Rosary at 7:00. A Memorial Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 12, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
