Ronald "Ronny"
William Zesch
Apr 20, 1943 — Apr 8, 2021
Ronald William "Ronny" Zesch, 77, died on April 8th, 2021 at his home after a battle with pancreatic cancer. Ronny was born on April 20, 1943, the son of Milton and Olivia Donop Zesch. Ronny was baptized into the faith at St Paul Lutheran Church in June 1943. Ronny attended school in Mason Texas from elementary through high school and graduated from Mason High School in 1962. He attended Angelo State University until his father fell ill and he returned home to help his mother care for his father and their ranch.
Ronny married Janice Hudson on January 14,1966. From this marriage, three children were born. Telisa Marie Zesch Valentine, John Milton Zesch and Annisa Lee Zesch Hendrix. This union ended in 1980. During this time, Ronny started a successful trucking company and later became a heavy equipment operator. He returned to full time ranching of the family property when his mother, Olivia suffered a debilitating stroke. He spent almost a decade seeing to his mother's care and was by her side the last 12 days of her life seeing her to her heavenly home on February 17, 2004.
Ronny rededicated his life to Jesus Christ in 1996 and helped form Christ the King Church, which later joined with Grace Fellowship forming River of Life Church, where Ronny served as an elder until his death. Ronny found great joy and comfort serving however he was called for the people of Mason and the body of Christ.
On August 5,1995, Ronny married Jane Brandenburger Padgett and they enjoyed more than two decades together being Meemaw and Opapa. They enjoyed many trips to National Finals Rodeo, PBR events and dancing to Texas swing and fiddle music but mostly they enjoyed welcoming 9 grandchildren and watching them grow.
Second to loving Jesus and his family, Ronny had a deep love for his country and hosted a yearly dove hunt on his ranch for the Patriot Warriors Foundation started in 2012 and continuing through present. Ronny felt humbled to be able to give back to soldiers who had given so much for our country.
