Ronald (Ronnie) Guy Clarkson of Mason passed away on Friday, July 14, 2017 at home. He was born August 20, 1952 in Vinita. Oklahoma to Leman Brewer and Betty Jean Clarkson. He grew up and went to school in Baxter Springs, Kansas graduating from Baxter Springs High School in 1970. He worked for the Missouri-Kansas-Texas (KATY) and Union Pacific Railroad for 41 years with his last position being manager of signal construction.

He is survived by his wife, Sherie of Mason; son Casey Clarkson and wife, Jennifer of Lawrence, Kansas; his father Leman Clarkson of Grove, Oklahoma, brother Rex Clarkson and wife, Mary Dawn of Edmond, Oklahoma and sister Tammy Turner and husband Steve of Axtell, Texas; grandchildren Silas and Sylvie Clarkson, sister-in-law Marcia Kamprath and husband, Gerald, of Plano; brother-in-law Dr. Michael Keller and wife, Diann, of Sonora; sister-in law Helen Carroll of Lake Dallas, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, and his best buddy, Lily. Ronnie was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Jean Clarkson.

Family visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, July 17 at Mason Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 18 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Mason with Rev. Charles Eckert officiating. Interment will follow at Gooch Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Dr. Shane Keller, Dr. Todd Keller, Roger Clarkson, Ben Lucas, Larry Lassetter and Hank Kimbriel.

Memorials may be made to Hill Country Memorial Hospice, Riata Service Organization (for the X-ray machine) or the charity of one's choice.
