Obituary

In Loving Memory of a wonderful husband
and father.
Born March 25, 1938, died March 19, 2013
Robert was a great friend to many and will surely be missed by the town of Mason.
He grew up in Milano, Texas and lived for many years in the Austin/Dripping Springs area before moving to Mason, Texas in 1985, where he met his wonderful wife and best friend, Elaine.
Robert was very involved in the community and was always willing to help whoever needed it. He was a huge supporter of the school and loved to make all the football, basketball and baseball games. He was one of the students' biggest fans.
Robert was a contractor most of his adult life and loved building things and always wanted to be outside. Part of his hobbies were watching Nascar and being in the country with his cows. His grandchildren were one of his greatest joys and a big part of his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents Willard and Amy Kate O'Neal, brother Jack O'Neal, sisters, Clois McCracklin and Peggy Polanetta, granddaughter Melinda Holt, nephew Keith and other family members.
He is survived by his wife Linda "Elaine" O'Neal, brother, William "Bill" O'Neal, sister-in-law Ruby O'Neal, son Donny O'Neal, son, Phillip O'Neal and wife Stephanie , daughter Tamara Johnson and husband Rob, step-daughter Kim Elliott and husband Mike, step-daughter Sherri Mikeska and husband Mitch and step-son Brad Holt and wife Tabitha. Robert also had many grandchildren: Ryan & Christopher O'Neal, Lauren & Katherine O'Neal, Alyshia, Tyler & Ryan Johnson, Tifani, Brandon & Karly Elliott, Casey, Marque & Kassie Mikeska and Zechary Holt, Joshua Calkins and two great –grand children. He also had many loving nieces and nephews that will miss him.
Services will be held at the Mason Funeral Home on Friday, March 22, 2013 at 2pm with burial following at Gooch Cemetery.
Fellowship will follow the burial at Spring Street Gospel Church.
Visitation will be held on Thursday evening, March 21, 2013 from 5-8 pm
Donations can be made in Robert's honor to Spring Street Gospel Church or Mason Puncher Club.
