Richard Eugene Casey was born April 19, 1956, to Loren and Mary Jean Casey in Decatur, Illinois. He passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2009, in Mason, Texas. Services are scheduled for Saturday, May 16, at 10:00 a.m. in the Mason Funeral Home chapel.
He graduated in 1974 from Stephen Decatur High School. He worked for the next 28 years in Sales for M.A. Bell Company and Georgia-Pacific Corporation. He enjoyed sports, hunting, fishing, and moved to Mason, TX, where he spent his last few years enjoying the Texas hill country, ranching, and passing time with friends.
He is survived by his first wife, Cheryl Lynn Aukamp and their daughter, Jennifer and husband Chris Gray, grandsons Logan and Morgan Gray of Austin, TX; father , Loren Casey and wife Dee of Decatur, IL; mother, Mary Jean Giles of Ashland City, TN; brother, Mike Casey of Nokomis, IL; brother and sister-in-law, Todd and Laura Johnson of Ashland City, TX; nephews, Sonny Johnson, Brian Casey and Josh Casey; second wife, Diane Garrett of Tyler, TX; and numerous cousins, friends and colleagues. He was also proceeded in death by brother, Greg Casey of Ashland City, TN.
