Raymond Walker Gibbs

Raymond Gibbs, of Mason, passed away on Saturday, September 1, at the age of 69. Mr. Gibbs is survived by his sons Toby Gibbs and wife Shanna of Mason, Kevin Gibbs and wife Farrah of Mason, 9 grandchildren Avery Gibbs, Reagan Gibbs, Macie Gibbs, Cooper Gibbs, Cason Gibbs, Miley Gibbs, Brayden Davis, Sheyanne Brandenberger and Quaid Brandenberger and 3 sisters Tricia Morris of Salado, Jana Owen of Salado, Darlya Oehler of Mountain Home and the mother of his children, Earlene Bode of Mason.

Raymond was born in Belton, Texas on December 3, 1942 to Lou Gatlin gibbs and Edith Roberta Walker Gibbs. He moved to Mason about 40 years ago and worked as a carpenter both on his own and also working with several contractors in Mason. He was a "down to earth" man. In his spare time he enjoyed working on cars. Raymond loved his grandchildren and always made sure there were pop sickles in the freezer for them. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Martha Gibbs Mosley and 2 brothers Larry Gatlin Gibbs and Gerald Prater Gibbs.

A memorial service for Raymond Gibbs will be held on Thursday, September 6 at 10:00 a.m. in the Mason Funeral Home chapel.
