Ray Jaquez of Mason, passed away on Sunday, January 30, at the age of 59.  Mr. Jaquez is survived by his mother Mary Ann Jaquez of Mason, his wife Cynthia Jaquez of Mason, his sons Conrado (Jennifer) Jaquez of Lampasas, Hamie Jaquez and Brittany of Mason, Orlando Jaquez (Marlen) of Odessa, his brothers Tino (Irma) Jaquez of Mansfield, Phillip (Aimee) Jaquez of Mason, and Mario (Janie) Jaquez of Mason, his sisters Naomi (Eloy) Villareal of Mason, Viatrice (Santiago, Jr) Guerrero of Mason and Angie (Sergio) Andrade of Buffalo, Tx, and seven grandchildren: Mason ray Jaquez, Maxon Daniel Jaquez, Jamie Rae Jaquez, Paisley grace Jaquez, Lilianna Jean Jaquez, Ella June Marie Graef, Aaron Ivan Jiminez.

Ray was born on December 10, 1962, to Florentino Jaquez and Mary Ann Soto Jaquez.  He was raised in Mason and attended Mason schools.  On August 22, 1981 Ray married Cynthia Aguirre.  Ray and Cynthia moved around quite a bit with Ray's work before moving back to Mason in 1992.  For the last five years Ray worked as a truck driver for Mag Materials.

When he wasn't working, Ray enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.  Ray was a hard worker, always keeping busy in his shop or taking care of the animals.

Ray and Cindy were members of Word Aflame Church in Brady.

Visitation with the family will be on Friday, February 4, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Mason Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 5, at 2:00 p.m. at Mason Funeral Home with Pastor Ben Aguirre leading the service.  Interment will follow in the Crosby Cemetery.
