Obituary

Patsy Crouch, of Mason, passed away on Thursday, May 14, at the age of 75. Visitation with the family will be Friday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at Mason Funeral Home. Funeral services for Patsy Crouch will be held graveside at the Gooch Cemetery in Mason on Saturday, May 16, at 10:00 a.m.

Survivors include her children Sammy Crouch and wife Paula of Mason, Brenda Hooten of Plano, Pam Beam and husband Joe of Mason, Cindy Smith of Mason and Marcus Garner and wife Sarah of Roy, Washington, a brother, Ronnie Smith and wife Kay, 9 grandchildren: Diane, David, Erin, Dominic, Quade, Bobby, Michele, Nathan and Jeffrey, 15 great-grandchildren and a brother-in-law Bennie Adams along with many nieces and nephews she loved a great deal. She was preceded in death by her parent Joe and Adell Smith, her loving husband R.L. "Sam" Crouch, two sisters Wanda Wilene Clark and Connie Gale Adams and a brother-in-law Don Clark.

Patsy was born in Huntsville, Texas on May 3, 1940 to Weldon Bailey Smith and Adell Burleson Smith. She married R.L. Crouch and she was a long-time resident of Mason. For many years Pat worked as a jailor and dispatcher for Mason County. Pat loved family and enjoyed family gatherings and reunions. She also loved to fish and camp. Pat also enjoyed craft work with wood, paper and cloth as well as painting. Some of the words used to describe her were amazing, loving, sweet, "spunky", orneryness, caring, motherly, strong, stubborn, talented, feisty, deep, happy, unselfish and brave.
