Pat Maples Tucker went to be with her Heavenly Father on July 8, 2015. She was the daughter of M.N. Maples and Mae Pearl Loupot-Maples and born in Dallas, Texas, on December 8th, 1936. She grew up in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas.
She attended Adamson High School, where she met the love of her life, Weldon (Pop) Tucker. Together, they attended Tyler Street United Methodist Church and created many lifelong friends as members of the 2X2 Sunday School class.
She worked in the Dallas Independent School District with the children's special needs program. Given her love of children, she became "Honey Bee" the clown and started the Scottish Rite Clown College so she and others could bring smiles and laughter to all she met. She later became President of the Scottish Rite Women's Auxiliary and remained very involved in the organization.
Pat and Tuck moved to The Beaver Bend Ranch in Hilda, Texas, in 1990. She continued her charitable ways and became active in the Hilda United Methodist Church, where she played the piano and held many committee positions. She was also a member of the Mason Riata Club where she became President and held numerous chair positions. She was also active in the Mason Library Mentoring Program where she taught in the Spanish to English program. She created many special relationships with members of the Hilda, Mason, and Doss communities.
She is survived by Weldon Tucker, loving husband of 62 years, and three children, Mike and Marilyn Tucker, of Allen, Texas, Gayla Tucker of Midlothian, Texas, and Tommy and Diann Tucker of Southlake, Texas. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
