Patricia Dell Martin Pike entered eternal peace and rest on April 29, 2016. Patricia was born on May 6, 1940 to Arthur Edward Martin and Adele Owen Henderson Martin, both of San Antonio, Texas. She graduated from Brackenridge High School where she was a member of the Purple Jackets and the National Honor Society. She married Norman R. Pike in 1961. She graduated and attained her teaching certificate from Trinity University. She taught second grade for a number of years. An avid student of the Bible, Patricia joined University Baptist Church where she sang in their Senior Choir and took part in many of their activities and ministries. For much of her adult life Patricia faced unique challenges, yet she managed to add to the love and kindness in the world around her.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Norman. She is survived by her brother Ross Martin and his wife Carolyn Carlisle Martin, her niece Molly Martin and her husband Gary Chinn and their children Adam and Silas, and by her nephew David Martin.

The family would like to thank the staffs of University Hospital and Gentiva Hospice for their compassionate care.

There will be a gravesite funeral service on May 6th at 1:00 P.M. at Gooch Cemetery, Mason, Texas. There will be a memorial service at University Baptist Church, 6465 Babcock Rd., San Antonio, TX 78249 at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 9th.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Patricia's name to University Baptist Church, San Antonio, or Mental Health America.
