Opal Rode passed away at the age of 89 on Tuesday, February 19, 2019. Visitation is Sunday, February 24 ^th from 3 – 5 pm at Mason Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Monday, February 25 ^th at the St. Paul Lutheran Church at 2 pm.  Burial will follow the service at Gooch Cemetery.

She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Adotia Rode of Kerrville and a brother, Philip Schmidt and wife Joanna of Georgetown.
