Mitchell Lee McGowan was born on March 16, 1973 to Eldridge (Juan) and Joyce McGowan in Mason, Texas.   He passed away at the age of 47 on Monday, March 16, 2020.

Mitchell is survived by his daughter Tori McGowan of Mason, son Dawson McGowan of Mason, his mother Joyce McGowan of Fredonia, sister Cindy McGowan-Miller and husband Bruce Miller of Mason, brother Allen McGowan and wife Toreen (Tori) McGowan of Brady, sister-in-law Barbie McGowan of Fredonia, friend and ex-wife Kim Kring of Mason, and of course his beloved pooch Sadie Mae, as well as many nieces and nephews.   He was preceded in death by his brother, Wade McGowan and his father Juan McGowan.  Mitchell graduated from Mason High School in 1991.

Mitchell worked as a peanut farmer, an automobile and a diesel mechanic, as well as a truck driver.  He was a hard worker and could fix just about anything.  He loved his kids, his family, and his friends dearly.  He was known for his quick wit, infectious smile, helpful hand, and rambunctious, kind and compassionate spirit.  He loved the outdoors and hunting.

Celebration of Life Services for Mitchell are pending and will be announced after the Covid-19 social distancing regulations have been lifted.
