Obituary

Minnie Tatsch, of Mason, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, at the age of 81. Minnie is survived by her children Patsy Thomas of Gainesville, Sharon Lindemann and husband James of Mason and Larry Tatsch and wife Barbara of Mason, three sisters Clara Kothmann of Fredericksburg, Olga Kothe of Fredericksburg and Elvira Goodwin of Brownwood. She is also survived by seven grandchildren Debbie Johnson and husband Scott, Terry Thomas Jr. and wife Terri, Katy Clifton and husband Jamie, Janet Horst and husband Goeff, Jake Lindemann and wife Cinda, Christy Trahan and husband Richard, Pamala Minatra and husband Brandon and thirteen great-grandchildren Taylor Granbort, Montana Johnson, J.B. Johnson, Dylan Thomas, Reed Thomas, Tim Clifton, Morgan, Horst, BrandonHorst, Justin Horst, Ethan Lindeman, Alyssa Trahan, Reagyn Trahan and Drake Trahan. Minnie was preceded in death by her husband Leon Tatsch in 2003, 2 brothers Marvin and Sonny Woerner, 2 sisters Martha Jordan and Ruby Geistweidt a granddaughter Susan Lindeman and a son-in-law Terry Thomas.

Minnie was born in Gillespie County on August 31, 1929 to Edmund Woerner and Zelima Neffendorf Woerner. She attended school at Tivydale and at Petersburg. On March 27, 1947 she married Leon Tatsch and they were together for 56 years. They made their home in Mason where Minnie worked in the school lunch room and drove a school bus. Through the years she also was the manager of Dairy Queen and ran the café at the sale barn. Minnie loved to crochet and quilt. These treasured items she gave to her family and friends. She enjoyed watching the wild animals, especially the birds and would make sure that they always had water. She was a caring person who volunteered her time at the senior center, with meals-on-wheels and would also help give people a ride to doctor's appointments.

Funeral services for Minnie Tatsch will be held on Friday, June 17, at 10:00 a.m. in the Mason Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Gooch Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Thursday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. at Mason Funeral Home.
