Mildred Henrich Gipson was born April 1, 1917 in Mason, Texas to
Adolph and Laura Purdy Henrich. Mildred passed away Saturday
February 19, 2011 in Junction, Texas. Mildred married Charles Gipson on December
27, 1939 in Castell, Texas. Mildred worked for the Mason county sheriff's department upon graduation from Mason High School until she married Charles. She was a housewife raising four boys until they completed their education in the Mason schools. She worked approximately twenty years for Hill Country Community Action in various roles. Mildred was an active member of the First Methodist Church in Mason.
Preceding her in death were her husband Charles, her parents, brothers Earnest Henrich, Wesley Henrich, Carl Henrich; sisters: Edna Leifeste, and Lydia Virdell, Lois Henrich. Survivors are her four sons: Don Gipson and wife Sharon of Bedford, Dean Gipson and wife Rosalie of Pampa, Dale Gipson and wife Candy of Junction, and David Gipson and wife Cynthia of Mason. Grandchildren: Mark Gipson and wife Tracy of Coppell; Lynnette Hounchell and husband Scott of Euless; Christina Sackett and husband Charlie of Pampa; Pat Gipson of Amarillo; Chad Gipson and wife Amy of Junction; Charlie Gipson and wife Mikki of Junction; Roxie Thomas and husband Mark of Lake Way; Gordon Gipson and wife Diana of Loyal Valley; John Gipson of Andrews. Great grandchildren: Logan Farthing, Morgan Hounchell, Todd Hounchell, Bethany Hounchell, Addison Gipson, Tate Gipson, Ashtin Sackett, Aaron Sackett, April Gipson, Maranda Gipson, Emilee Gipson, Hope Gipson, Loryn Gipson, Kendra Thomas, Weston Thomas, Colt Gipson, Kristen Gipson, and Wayland Gipson.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 26, at 10:00 a.m. in the Mason Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Tim Fahrenthold officiating.
