Melvin Burns, of Mason, passed away on Saturday, August 29, at the age of 70. Mr. Burns is survived by his wife Sandra Burns, of Mason, 4 sons Kevin Burns of Bronte, Kyle Burns of Kerrville, Kerry Burns of Abilene and Kade Burns of Thorndale. Melvin is also survived by 9 grandchildren, Lahne, Lauren, Lance, Kelby, Kinley, Maegan, Krista, Avery and Ainsley. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Wayne Burns.

Funeral services for Mr. Burns will be held on Tuesday, September 1, at 10:00 a.m. in the Mason Church of Christ building. Interment will follow in the Gooch Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Monday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. at Mason Funeral Home.
