Maudell Holt McDonald passed away on Sunday, June 28, at the age of 87. Maudell is survived by 3 daughters, Dorothy Ann Grote and husband Jeff of Mason, Mary Lou Smith and husband James Wayne of Fredericksburg and Deborah June Mrushe' of Abilene, a son Bobby Doak McDonald and wife Karen of Big Lake, 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 4 step-great-grandchildren and 3 step great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 3 sisters, Jesse Nobles and Ila Belle Brown of Mason, Iva Nell Sparks of Midland and a brother Arthur Dee "Sonny" Holt of Mason.

Funeral services for Maudell Holt McDonald will be held on Wednesday, July 1, at 10:00 a.m. in the Mason Funeral Home chapel. Interment will follow in the Wagram Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at Mason Funeral Home.

Memorials in her honor may be made to Wagram Cemetery Association, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary or to Mason County EMS.
