Mary Lou Lange, of Mason, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, at the age of 88. Mary Lou was born on September 15, 1927 in Mason to Edgar Leifeste Sr. and Emma Eula Shafer Leifeste. She was a graduate of Mason high School and a life-long resident of Mason County where she was a member of the First Baptist Church.

On October 26, 1946, Mary Lou married Melvin B. Lange in the Baptist Parsonage. Their marriage was blessed with a daughter, Brenda. Mary Lou worked as a bookkeeper for Grosse Lumber Yard for 45 years before retiring.

Mary Lou is survived by a nephew Mike Lange and wife Deborah, of Mason along with other nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and a son-in-law Neal Little, of Mason. She was preceded in death by her husband Melvin B. Lange, their daughter Brenda Lange Little, a brother Edgar Leifeste Jr. and a sister Imogene Waddill.

Visitation with the family will be Friday evening from 6 to 8 at Mason Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 30, at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist church in Mason. Serving as pallbearers are Mackey Lange, Jody Lange, Fritz Leifeste, Rae Leifeste, Cole Leifeste and Kash Kothmann.
