Mary Pauline Gierisch Beam of Mason, passed away on Monday, February 20. 2017, at the age of 97. She was born June 7, 1919 in Mason to Edmund Gierisch Sr. And Elsie Schneider Gierisch. She married Gorman Beam on September 9, 1938. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and also her husband in 1998.
She is survived by her five children Pauline Robertson and husband Robert of Buchanan Dam, Larry Beam and wife Susan of Benbrook, Sharon Stewart and Don Balsams of Georgetown, Brenda Davis and husband Bobby of Mason and Anna Klingelhefer and husband Robin of Mason, nine grandchildren Alan Robertson, Bruce Robertson, Corey Klingelhefer and wife Christi, Kala Griffin and husband Robert, Brian Beam and wife Laura, Kara Ezell and husband Justin, Cassie Schreiber and husband David, Cheryl Clampitt and husband Kris and Lisa George. She had twelve great-grandchildren Ashton Hall and husband Tony, Emily Robertson, Kelsi and Caden Klingelhefer, Jay and Ty Ezell, Alyssa and Jadon Schreiber, Noah and Brooklyn Clampitt, Cody and C.J. George. Her great-great-grandchildren were Lauren and Colton Hall.
Mary has a sister Emma Burch and four brothers Carl Gierisch, Dorman Gierisch, William Gierisch, and Johnny Gierisch. She was preceded in death by two sisters Willa Mae Benson and Dorothy Lyons and two brothers Edmund Gierisch Jr. and Ernest Gierisch.
Mary was a business partner with her husband in the windmill and pump service business. Her passion was gardening and keeping a perfect yard. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she loved her volunteer work. She dearly loved her family and was a wonderful wife, mother and Grandma. She will be missed.
Visitation with the family will be Thursday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. at Mason Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Friday, February 24, at 10:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Mason. Interment will follow in the Gooch Cemetery.
