Marshall Frazier of Mason passed away on August 23, 2022.

Marshall was born on March 23, 1924, in Ralston, Oklahoma, to Pearl and Leslie Martin Frazier.  He grew up in various places in Oklahoma.  He was a pilot in the US Air Force during WWII.  After being discharged, he attended Oklahoma State University and earned a degree in Petroleum Engineering.   He went to work for Skelly Oil Company.  He met Bobbye Jean Hedrick, who worked for an oil-related company.  They were married on April 20, 1952.  They moved to Bay City, Texas where their son David was born in 1954.  They moved back to the Texas Panhandle for a few years and then briefly to Dallas before moving to Midland where they lived for 17 years.  Marshall worked for several oil companies during his career.  He was transferred to Denver in 1980 and worked there until his retirement in 1984.

Coming back to Texas, they retired to Mason, and purchased an old home they lovingly restored. He had a knack for fixing things and developed an interest in old clocks and became a skilled clocksmith.  He and Bobbye also enjoyed antiquing and had a small antique business for several years. When Marshall was not fixing things around the house, he could be found ranching or on the golf course with friends.

Marshall enjoyed traveling with his with Bobbye on many trips across the Unites States, Mexico, Canada, and Central America, often in an RV.  Bird watching, visiting friends, and fishing were enjoyed along the way. Marshall loved spending time with his family and enjoyed being "Pa" to his two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Pearl and Leslie Frazier, brother Leslie Frazier, and sister Evelyn Boyd.

Marshall is survived by his loving wife, Bobbye, son, David, his wife Jeannie; grandson, Marshall and his wife Maddie of San Antonio; and granddaughter Madeline Horton and her husband, Kade of Midland; nephew Billy McBee and his wife Pat, nephew Gary Hedrick; and two nieces, Marva Garber and Marsha Wynn.

The family would like to thank the staff of Heritage Place for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, please donate in his honor to Hill Country Memorial Hospice in Fredericksburg, Texas.

Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 Sunday, August 28, at Mason Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held at the Gooch cemetery Monday, August 29 at 11:00am with a reception to follow.
