Kathy Reed Bielfeldt was called home Wednesday, October 27 ^th at the age of 73. Singer, baker, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, bookkeeper, and nanny are some of the many roles Kathy filled, but scarcely tell you how devoted she was to those she loved in her life.

Born November 8, 1947, to William and Geraldine Reed in Beaumont, TX. Kathy would graduate from Charles H. Milby High School, Houston, TX in 1966. She would go on to attend Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, TX.

Kathy is survived by her husband of 46 years, Jon Bielfeldt; her children, Karl Bielfeldt and Erin Bielfeldt McReynolds; her grandchildren, Kaleb, Caydence, and Konner Bielfeldt, Braden and Ada McReynolds, and Hahn Bielfeldt; her sister, Lisa Dewey.

Never short of a story or a joke, Kathy was comfortable working a room and building relationships. It wouldn't take long before she knew the entire staff at her and Jon's favorite eateries. She would celebrate and encourage so many to pursue their dreams and love them all like her very own.

You could find Kathy making her chocolate sheet cake for some event, performing with the Alamo Metro Chorus, helping build elegant gowns and trains for the San Antonio Lutheran Coronation, helping grow numerous women's church organizations, facilitating Kogudus Retreats with Jon, or cheering on her grandchildren and numerous de facto kids at their events.

A visitation is scheduled from 2:00-5:00 p.m. on October 31 ^st at St. John's Lutheran in Thrall, TX. Visitation will also be held on Monday, November 1, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 at Mason Funeral Home.  The family will be holding a grave side service at the Gooch Cemetery in Mason, TX. At 1:00 p.m. Monday.  Reverend Bill Swantner will officiate. Flowers and condolences can be offered at 409 Main St. Thrall, TX 76578.
