Marie Louise Katherine (Bieldfeldt) Loeffler was born November 19, 1920 in a farm house in the Grit community, Mason County, Texas. She was the daughter of William and Ida (Hofmann) Bieldfeldt. She was baptized on January 9, 1921 by Rev. Imbrock in St. Paul Lutheran church. On August 11, 1935 she was confirmed by Rev. M.J. Schwarz in the Lutheran faith in St. Paul Lutheran church. This was the basis of her lifelong membership at St. Paul.

Marie attended Mason schools and graduated in May of 1938. She attended and graduated Texas Lutheran College in May of 1940. Upon graduation she began working for the sheriff, tax assessor's office in Mason. She continued in this position for four years.

When Marie was 6 years old, her mother purchased a piano which began her love of music. Piano and vocal lessons developed her talents which became an important part of her life. These talents were used in her various activities in the church and in the community. She developed numerous programs for different organizations and music was always in the background. Through the years she has served as pianist, organist, vocalist and choir director for St. Paul.. When her eyesight began to fail, these activities were abandoned, but she loved every minute of her time with these activities.

On February 14, 1942, Marie and Gilbert Herman Loeffler were united in marriage by M.J. Schwarz at the St. Paul Lutheran church. They made their home on the family ranch in the Streeter community of Mason County; they were blessed with two sons, Thomas Gilbert and Charles Ray. When the children attended Mason schools, Marie was involved in the activities of the Mason P.T.A. (parent teacher association.)

When her husband became ill and was unable to serve, she was elected to replace his position on the Board of Directors for Hill Country Telephone. She served faithfully on the board for ten years. Marie was also a charter member of the Mason County Republican Women and remained a member until her passing. Other activities that she enjoyed were serving as a director of the primary department of the Sunday school and she was active in the work of the women of St. Paul church.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Loeffler, her parents, William and Ida Bieldfeldt, her brother, Karl Bieldfeldt and sister Dorothy Bieldfeldt Schmidt. Survivors include two sons, Thomas Gilbert Loeffler and wife Susan, Charles Ray Loeffler and wife Susie, one sister-in –law, Eleanor McIntyre, daughter in law, Nancy Loeffler, six grandchildren: Brett Loeffler and wife Kathy, Lance Loeffler and wife Ashley, Cullen Loeffler and wife Jardin, Lauren Loeffler Powers and husband Courtney, Lacy Loeffler Kozak and husband Terry Jr. and Brandon Todd Loeffler. Two step-grandsons, Travis Hyatt and wife Leigh, Danny Bolger and wife Laura as well as nine great grandchildren and eight step great grandchildren.

Marie acknowledged that her long life was filled with many blessings from her ever loving and ever present Triune God.

Visitation with the family will be Sunday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. at Mason funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Monday, March 9, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in the Gooch Cemetery.

Memorials in her memory may be made to the Music Fund at St. Paul Lutheran church.
