Maria Dominguez of Mason passed away Sunday April 11, 2010 in the University Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 65.

She was born to Raymundo and Socorro Avalos nee Martinez of Mason on June 26, 1944. Maria was a founding member of the Bereavement Committee at St. Joseph's Catholic Church and served with that committee for over 25 years. She also enjoyed her prayer group. Mary as she liked to be called enjoyed working in her yard and she loved hill country peaches.

Mary Dominguez is survived by her two children Anna Maria Dominguez of Mason and son Manuel Esteven Dominguez and his wife Alvina of Bloominton TX, Grandchildren Bryce Holmes and Ayden Dominguez also of Bloominton; two brothers Frank Sanchez Avalos, and wife Tomasa, Jose Heracilo Avalos andhis wife Virginia,; mother-in-law Maria de Jesus Dominguez of Mason. She is preceded in death by her husband Manuel A. Dominguez, parents Raymundo and Socorro Avalos, Siblings Amaila Torrez, Estela Castillo, Gilberto Avalos and Rita Garza.

Funeral Mass for Mrs. Dominguez will be on Wednesday April 14, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church with interment to follow at Crosby Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be from 5:00pm-7:00 pm in the Chapel of Mason Funeral Home with a Rosary at 7:00 pm.
