Obituary

Manuel Martinez Jr or "Grandpa" known by many was called to the Lord while surrounded by family on January 9th, 2025 in Katy, Texas at the age of 78.
Manuel was a loving, kind, generous, and vibrant soul whose presence touched the lives of everyone fortunate to know him.

Born on August 18th, 1946 in Fredericksburg, Tx, to Manuel Martinez Sr. and Delfina Morquecho Martinez. Manuel, lived a life full of love, laughter and the warmth of family and friends. Manuel had an uncanny ability to make every person feel valued and important, offering words of encouragement and a shoulder to lean on in times of need. Whether though thoughtful gestures, a listening ear, or the comforting smile that always seemed to brighten even the darkest days, Manuel made the world a better place simply being in it.

Manuel cherished many things and had many passions throughout his life. Sports being a life long passion from childhood on, he would always share stories one of him being scouted to the Cincinnati Reds and not going because of being scared of flying, or playing for the Mason Punchers which flowed to him being one of the biggest fans long after playing. Music was also one of the many things Manuel devoted his life to. Promoting bands all over the state of Texas and giving back to the community along while doing it with "La Sociedad de Cultura Mexicana".Above all family was everything to Manuel. He was a loving father, brother and cherished grandpa, always ready to listen, comfort, and offer wisdom when needed. The bonds he shared with his children, siblings, and extended family were a cornerstone of his life. Manuel taught us the meaning of love, patience, and sacrifice. The lessons he left imparted to us, thorough both words and actions, will continue to guide us through for the rest of our lives.

Manuel leaves behind a legacy of love that will last forever. He will be deeply missed by his family he was preceded in death by his parents Manuel Martinez Sr and Delfina Morquecho Martinez, and sister Ramona Martinez Reyna, Brother-in-Law Higinio Ramon Jr, Nephews Higinio Ramon III and Charles Ray Ramon.
