Lula I. Rankin of San Antonio was born September 22, 1923 in Mason, Texas and passed away April 26, 2014 at the age of 90 years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Master Sergeant Thomas D. Rankin and parents Charlie R. and Nettie Waddell Taylor, one sister Zula Johnson. Lula is survived by one daughter, Delores Rankin and companion Jimmie Fralicks of San Antonio, one brother J. W. (Jay) Taylor and wife Charlene, of Harper, niece Sheba K. Kothmann of Mason and nephews Billy K. Johnson of Mason, Tommy Taylor and Lewis Taylor of Harper, Tim Taylor and Richard Taylor of Kerrville and many great-nephews and nieces and a special friend Gloria Washburn of Bandera.

Serving as pallbearers will be her nephews Billy K. Johnson, Tommy Taylor, Tim Taylor, Richard Taylor, Lewis Taylor and Kenn Kothmann of Sanderson.

Visitation with the family will be Monday afternoon from 2:00 to 3:30 with a graveside service to follow at the Gooch Cemetery at 4:00.
