Luisa Palacio, of Mason, passed away on Tuesday, October 4, at the age of 72. She was born on June 22, 1939 in Ft. Stockton, Texas to Heraldo V. Palacio and Margarita Pena Velasquez. Luisa married Daniel Palacio on September 19, 1957. Their marriage was blessed with six children. Through the years Luisa worked at the peanut plant, at the nursing Home, Willow Creek Café and most importantly as a mother and housewife.

Luisa is survived by her husband, Daniel Palacio Sr. of Mason, four children Adam Palacio and wife Rosie of Brady, Abel Palacio and wife Norma of Lampasas, Daniel Palacio Jr. and wife Becky of Pontotoc, Arturo Palacio and wife Marisela of San Angelo, 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, three brothers Esteban Velasquez of Ft. Stockton, Jose Velasquez and wife Cocarro of Monanhans, Domingo Velasquez and wife Fidela of Kermit and 2 sisters Jessie Gomez of Fort Stockton, Sedenia Perez of Fort Stockton. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons Oscar and Steve Palacio and a sister Guadalupe Martinez.

A Vigil Service will be held at Mason Funeral Home on Thursday evening at 7;00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 7, at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Melvin Dornak officiating. Burial will follow in the Crosby Cemetery.
