Louise Humphreys passed away peacefully on January 15, 2017. She was born in Valley Spring, Texas on April 9, 1919 to Jim and Carrie Bauman Phillips. She attended the Valley Spring school and was a member of the Valley Spring Church of Christ.

She married Raymond Humphreys on July 13, 1940. Louise worked for B. F. Grimsley Variety Store in Mason, Texas. In the early 1950's she and Raymond moved to Coleman, Texas where he worked for Coca Cola Bottling Company and Louise worked for J. C. Penney Company until her retirement in 1980.

After Raymond's death in 1979 Louise returned to Mason and built her new home. Louise loved the outdoors and took much pride in her yard and growing beautiful flowers. She was a life-long active and faithful member of the Church of Christ.

Louise is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Humphreys, four sisters Lois Durst, Lura Black, Beulah Long and Violet Durbin and two brothers James Phillips and Billy Louis Phillips.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 18, at 11:00 a.m. in the Mason Funeral Home chapel. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service. Interment in the Gooch Cemetery will follow the service.
