Louis Palacio Sr., of Mason, passed away on Thursday, September 17, at the age of 74. Mr. Palacio is survived by his children Louis Palacio Jr. and wife Julie of Cross Roads, Lisa Palacio of Brady and Lupita Palacio of Brady, 4 brothers Daniel Palacio, David Palacio, Moses Palacio, Pete Palacio, 3 sisters Rosalinda Martinez, Louisa Macareno and Irene Gloria, 2 granddaughters Katie and Justine Palacio and the mother of his children Juanita Cantu. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters Frances Soto and Maria Inez Bernal and 3 brothers Paul Palacio Sr., Alfredo Palacio Sr. and Enrique Palacio.

Louis was born on July 25, 1946 in Menard. He was raised in Mason and Mason was his home all his life. He worked at various jobs around Mason. In his spare time he enjoyed watching old western movies and visiting with friends and family, especially his brothers Alfred and David. Louis also enjoyed picking up pecans.

Visitation with the family will be Sunday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at Mason Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Monday, September 21, at 10:00 a.m. at the Mason Funeral Home chapel. Interment will follow in the Crosby Cemetery.
