Lola Fay Kruse Hohn, of Mason, Texas, passed away on Monday, June 28, 2021, at the age of 86. Lola was born March 29, 1935, in Brady, Texas, to John William and Veda Ruth Butler Kruse. She graduated from Mason High School and Southwest Texas State Teachers College where she met and married Henry Joseph Hohn, on July 9, 1955, in Mason. Henry and Lola raised eight children who all attended and graduated from Mason ISD and all successfully received college degrees. Lola was a positive influence to her students at Mason High School. She loved teaching them art, cooking, sewing, and tennis, and she was always proud of her students who used her influences in their future careers. Her activities in the Mason community included Riata, Alpha Beta Psi, Mason Tennis Association, Operations Orphans, and St. Joseph Catholic Church. Her interests were numerous and included tennis, art, music, cooking, sewing, ranching, camping, time with her family, and co-hosting "Camp Cousins" with Henry.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters Helen Taylor, Bonnie Hannah, Theresa Baker, and her husband, Henry, of 59 years. She is survived by her brother, Buddy Kruse, of Uvalde, and her sister, Pearlene Segars, of Fort Worth; her eight children, Deborah Hohn and husband, Larry, of Jonestown, Dan Hohn and wife, Joyce, of Duncanville, Diane Edge and husband Steve of Fort Worth, Delores Hohn of Mason and Jim Bill Kothmann, Donna Hohn and Roy Caldwell of Corpus Christi, Doris Reiley and husband, Randy, of Helotes, Donald Hohn and wife, Julianne, of Fredericksburg, Dena Coe and husband, Truman, of Plano; 20 grandchildren, Korey Willmann and wife, Megan, of Baton Rouge, LA, Kristen O'Toole and husband, Stephen, of Lakeway, Rebecca Vogel and husband, Jesse, of Denton, Michael Hohn of Duncanville, Dusty Zimmerman and wife, Kelli Zimmerman, of Fort Worth, Ashlee Almon of Keller, Chris Edge and wife, Reigh, of Fort Worth, Marty Hansen of Palacios, Julia Rowe of Webster, Justyn Cruz-Aedo of Hamden, CT, Jared Cruz-Aedo of Corpus Christi, Tyler Reiley and wife, Clara, of Spring, Amanda Elder and husband, Joey, of San Antonio, Katherine Reiley of Helotes, Alyssa and Cameron Hohn of Fredericksburg, Truman, Christian, Roman, and Reya Coe of Plano; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be Thursday, July 1, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Mason Funeral home with a rosary following at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 2, at 2:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Crosby Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations in memory of Lola to the Mason Tennis Association, St. Joseph's Catholic Church, or the Henry and Lola Hohn Scholarship fund.
