Linda Zesch Owen of Mason passed away Monday November 03, 2025, at the age of 90.

Linda is survived by her sons Terry Owen (Kelly) and Jeff Owen (Brandi), her daughter Debbie Owen (Rae Beth) and by her brother Arlis Zesch a nephew Quinn Jones, 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.  Linda was preceded in death by her husband Douglas Charles Owen, a daughter Beckie Lee Owen and a sister Betsy Jones.

Linda was born in Mason on March 28,1935 to Arno Zesch and Nettie Eckert Zesch.  She was raised in Mason and was a graduate of Mason High School.  After high school Linda attended college.  On April 19, 1959 Linda married Douglas Charles Owen.  Their marriage was blessed with four children.  In 1972, her husband Douglas, was killed in an auto accident leaving Linda to raise four young children.  She made sure they were taken care of and that they attended school and then church and Sunday School.

Hard work was no stranger to Linda. She was a good seamstress, did monograming, loved to garden raising vegetables and beautiful flowers. She loved to watch the hummingbirds as they came to her flowers. Linda liked to cook and she made her own butter and homemade ice cream from the milk they got from the cow she kept.

Linda was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran serving on Church Council and on many church committees through the years.

Family was very important to Linda and every year she and the kids would drive to Colorado to visit with family.  Linda loved to follow her kids and grandkids school activities and attended most of their games.

The family would like to thank her care givers Yolanda Garza, Ana Ordonez and Alheli Peres' along with the staff at Menard Manor and West Texas Rehab Hospice.

Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, November 05 from 5-7 p.m. at Mason Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Thursday, November 06 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Rev. Mark Ward leading the service.  Interment to follow at the Gooch Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers are Zach Hudson, Rylee Owen, Baylee Owen, Reagan Owen, Gage Owen and Rebeckah McElwee.
