Lester Lansing Kothmann was called home to be with Jesus on June 30, 2015 at his home in Mason County. He was born to Lansing and Gerda Lehmann Kothmann on January 28, 1950. He graduated from Mason High School and attended the University of Texas where he met his wife, Cindy Goodman and they were married on May 15, 1976. They were blessed with two children.
Lester was a design engineer for a telephone company in Temple, Texas for 22 years and then retired to his childhood home to continue the operation of the family ranch that he loved. Lester was so blessed to be able to walk in faith with so many in the community. He had a passion for visiting and connecting with people, especially the youth and nursing home residents. He is presently a member of the River of Life church.
He is survived by Cindy Kothmann, his wife of 39 years; 2 children, daughter Crystal Lynn Kothmann Kinney and her husband Thomas and son, Lee Lester Kothmann; his sister Betty Thane and her husband Leon of San Angelo.
A memorial service will be held at the River of Life Church of Mason on Sunday, July 5, 2015 at 3:00pm.
