Leonard Bert Little
February 11, 1934 – March 30, 2025

Retired U.S. Air Force Master Sergeant Leonard (Len) Bert Little passed away peacefully on March 30, 2025, at the age of 91, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family.

Len is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Little of Mason, Texas, and his three adored daughters: Celeste Ann Estep (Ross), Kathern Lynn Jackson (Romey), and Laura Kay Holsomback (Ron), whom he shared with his first wife, Ann Little. All reside in the San Antonio, Texas area. He was a devoted grandfather to Brad Phipps (Tina), Lauryn O'Neill (Chris), Danielle Curiel (Gabe), and Tyler Mann (Lois), and a loving great-grandfather to Jack Phipps, Austin Phipps, Carter Mann, Ramsey Mann, Livvy O'Neill, Marren O'Neill, Reina Curiel, Denver Mann, and Mara Curiel.

Len also leaves behind his sisters, Joan Anderson of Castle Rock, Washington, and Lynda Marcantel of Universal City, Texas, along with numerous beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Winona Little, and his siblings, Garth Little, Gloria Stanton, and Gary Little of Castle Rock, Washington.

Born on February 11, 1934, in his family home in Castle Rock, Washington, Len embodied a spirit of adventure and an unwavering love for his family. His passion for the outdoors led him to spend countless hours boating - each trip an opportunity for excitement and camaraderie.

During his distinguished Air Force career, Len specialized in maintaining propeller-driven aircraft and overseeing flight line operations. His service carried him across the globe, including tours in Vietnam, as well as assignments where his family accompanied him. His final military permanent change of station brought him to Randolph AFB, Texas, where he retired in 1976. While stationed in Germany, Len traveled extensively with his family throughout Europe, embracing every opportunity to explore new places and cultures.

Following his military service, Len pursued his passion for automobiles, establishing a successful used car and muffler shop with the motto: "Everybody Needs a 'Little' Car." Known for his generosity and unwavering support of young military personnel, he often provided reliable transportation to soldiers, even repurchasing their vehicles when they were reassigned to new duty stations. His kindness left a lasting impact on the Universal City community.

In retirement, Len returned to Castle Rock to reconnect with his Washington family before eventually settling in Texas once more.

Now, he embarks on his greatest journey—reuniting with his heavenly Father, loved ones, and cherished pets who await him.

A celebration of life will be held on May 17, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Phipps residence in San Antonio, Texas. Friends and family are warmly invited to gather in his honor; please contact a family member for details.

Len will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at the Phipps family ranch.
