Leighton E. Brown passed away peacefully on June 8, 2019 at the age of 83.  Leighton was born August 31, 1935 in San Antonio, TX to parents Bill and Lolita Brown.  He spent his career in banking in the San Antonio and Austin area after which he retired and moved to the family homestead in Hilda, TX.  Leighton is survived by his children Jeanne Brown of Kerrville, TX, Laura Brown and husband David Mitchell of Bayou Vista, TX, Kevin Brown and wife Elizabeth of Godley, TX and sister Nancy Parker and husband Joe of San Antonio, TX.  He is also survived by his grandchildren Ashley, Amanda, Justin, Madeline, Blake, Bryson and Lauren; great-grandchildren Kayla, Isaiah, Joslynn and James. Leighton is preceded in death by his brother Frank Brown, sister Patricia Brown and parents Bill and Lolita Brown. The family would like to acknowledge and thank the staff at Hilltop Village Nursing and Rehabilitation along with Peterson Hospice staff for their loving care and compassion in Leighton's final days.

Visitation with the family will be Friday, June 14, 2019 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Mason Funeral Home, Mason, TX.  The funeral service will be held Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 10:00 am at Hilda United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the Hilda Methodist Cemetery.
