Obituary

Willard Kenneth Larimore, Jr. of Mason passed away on Thursday, June 1 at the age of 86. Survivors include his children Mark Larimore and wife Pam of LaVernia, John Larimore and wife Vicky of Richardson, Jill Merritt of Richardson and Joe Larimore of Garland. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren Lindsay and drew Merritt, Jamie Larimore and Jeffrey Campbell and 7 great-grandchildren along with the mother of his children Ruth Larimore and close family friend Dorothy Tatsch.

Kenneth was born on November 2, 1930 to Willard Kenneth Larimore Sr. and Hilda Weilbacher Larimore. He was raised in Mason and was a graduate of Mason high School. Kenneth also attend Schreiner College in Kerrville. After college Kenneth joined the Marine Corps and served in Korea during the Korean War.

After returning from Korea, Kenneth lived in Lubbock and then returned to Mason where he started a family and worked in the family business, Larimore Hardware. His family had been in business in Mason for generations where Commercial State Bank is now located. In 1969 the family moved to the Dallas area where Kenneth owned and operated Ken's Coffee Service for many years.

In the late 90's Kenneth returned to Mason where he lived on family property north of Mason. Kenneth was fun to be around and enjoyed visiting with friends and family. He was also an avid Bridge player and he was also involved with Operation Orphans.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. at Mason Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held graveside at the Gooch Cemetery on Sunday, June 4 at 2:00 p.m.
