Kamden Avery Palacio joined his sister Avery Brooke on Jesus' lap on September 22, 2022. Kamden was born on April 13, 2021, in Fredericksburg to his loving parents Jimmy and Nikki Palacio, sister Kaelyn, and brother Kelton.

Kamden is survived by his parents Jimmy and Nikki Palacio, sister Kaelyn Palacio, and brother Kelton Palacio. Grandparents- Moses Palacio, Yolanda Palacio, Jerry Troutman, and Cyndi Bertrang. Great Grandmother Eva Sue Johnson.

Aunts and Uncles- Moses Jr Palacio (Nicole) Gracie Lacy (Dustin) Jeremy Troutman, Lyndsi Jarl (Ryan), Kayli Bertrang, Alyssa Bertrang (AJ), Jerred Troutman (Christine), Dallys Troutman, Jacob Troutman, Taylor Troutman, and Norma Velez. Cousins- Ashbie, Aspyn, and Moses III Palacio, Mikayla Palacio, Jackson and Lawton Troutman, Rhyker and Remington Jarl, Jayda and Sena, and George Daniel, Olivia, and Kamila Velez. Godmothers- Miriah Kidd and Cynthia Cunningham.

He is preceded in death by his sister Avery Brooke Palacio.

Kamden brought joy, laughter, and all things good to this world. Although he was nicknamed "bad baby" due his mischievousness, he was the sweetest baby and had a smile that was contagious. Kamden loved the water, loved being outside, and loved exploring the world.

Kamden and Kelton had a special bond from the day we brought him home. They loved to wrestle, play with trucks and nerf guns, and give hugs. Kamden would hold out his arms for Kelton to get him out of his crib. Kelton was the perfect example of a big brother- always worrying about Kamden and taking care of him. When Kelton made Kamden laugh it was a laugh of pure happiness.

Kamden loved his sissy, Kaelyn. He would go in her room anytime she left her door open just long enough for him to sneak in. He stole her remotes at least once a day and he loved to tell her no-no. She taught him to high-five and was so proud to show everyone this new trick. Kamden was always in Kaelyn's room with all of her friends-getting held by one of them until he drove them crazy, and they kicked him out.

Kamden loved his daddy and was his little shadow. He would follow his dad around the house until he gave in and picked Kamden up. Kamden loved to be outside with him. He loved to snuggle with him in the mornings and at night if he was trying to get out of going to sleep. We got Kamden a toolset because he wanted to be like his daddy. He would climb the step ladder to "help" Jimmy if he had it out working on a project. His first word was Dada and his nickname from Jimmy was Kam Bam. Jimmy took so many pictures of Kamden- pictures of him eating, walking, playing, and their favorite-selfies. I am so thankful for every picture now.

Kamden was my baby. I knew when I had him, he was it. I was fulfilled as being a mom. He was perfect in every way. He made me smile just at the thought of him, and I always had a Kam story to tell my friends and family. He gave the best hugs and made me feel safe in his tiny little arms. Although he was my only baby that put himself to sleep, he would hug us all the time, lay his head on our shoulders, and gave the best snuggles. He was a lover of simple songs and snacks, but only if he had one in each hand. He loved blueberries and adventure. If I put Kamden down outside, he was running off to find something to get into. He was our little Roomba vacuum always trying to eat anything off the floor. Kamden lived life 100 miles an hour and I will live mine in memory of him. I will make the most of each day, loving my family and making them feel safe in my hugs, and going on adventures.

Visitation with the family will be Friday, September 30, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Mason Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 1, at 1:00 p.m. at the River of Life gymnasium.  Interment will follow in the Crosby Cemetery.
