Obituary

Judy Dorene Ratliff left this world for her heavenly resting place, at the age of 72, on August 31, 2019.

Judy was born on September 15, 1946 to Nettie Faye and Ernest Duke Polk in Mason Texas. She had one brother, Ted Polk.

Judy grew up in Mason Texas and graduated from Mason High School in 1965. She attended Durham Business College.

Judy married the love of her life, Woodie Steve Ratliff, on October 30, 1965. They have two children, Michelle Kilgo and her husband Todd and Scott Ratliff and his wife Vickie. They have 6 grandchildren: Tyler Hammond and wife Lacee, Hunter Kilgo, Kyndi Kilgo, Courtney Hallum and her husband Stephen, Rocky Gage and Kelsie Ratliff. They have 2 great grandchildren: Madison Moursund and Trig Hammond.

Judy worked for Lee & Lee Attorneys at Law in Mason, she was the City Secretary in Johnson City and worked for Pedernales Falls State Park.   She worked for the Texas Association of School Boards in Austin before retiring in 2008.

Judy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was an artist and loved going to art shows. She loved traveling with her husband and wanted to do so up till the very end. She enjoyed going to watch her grandkids in all their sporting events. Judy loved deer hunting on their ranch in Mason. She really enjoyed playing bingo and made many friends over the years doing so. She had a special group of friends in Georgetown that she thoroughly looked forward to seeing every month at their little "Hen Party".

Judy was a Baptist and truly loved her Lord and Savior.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents and brother. She is survived by her husband, daughter, son, 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, a niece and several nephews.

Funeral Services for Judy Ratliff will be held graveside at the Gooch Cemetery on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.
